ソフトウェアのアップデート

「アップデートマネージャー」を起動し、すべてのソフトウェアをアップデートしておきます。

バックアップの作成

アップグレードの失敗に備え、バックアップを作成しておきます。
デフォルトでインストールされている「Timeshift」を利用すれば、簡単にシステムのバックアップを作成できます。

アップグレード開始

「アップデートマネージャー」を起動し、「編集」メニューから「Upgrade to Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia」をクリックします。

パッケージの追加インストール

「Linux Mint 19.3」では、新しいアプリがデフォルトのアプリとして採用されています。
それらのアプリをインストールするには、以下のコマンドを実行します。

apt install celluloid gnote drawing neofetch

Add the XApp Status applet

システムレポートで、"Add the XApp Status applet" The XApp Status applet allows applications to provide a tray icon without rendering glitches and with support for HiDPI and symbolic icons. Right-click the panel and choose 'Add to Panel'とでるが、そもそも右クリックしてもそんなメニューが出ない。VNC接続だからか？よくわからない。HiDPIにかかわることらしいがHiDPIではないのでIgnore this problemしてしまう。
